Advanced Keiko
Deeper practice for experienced aikidoka
Advanced keiko (Aikido Keiko) is intended for practitioners with a solid foundation in Aikido basics. Training goes deeper into technique: connection and timing (musubi), flowing response to changing attacks (jyu waza), weapons work (bokken and jo) and the fine details that make Aikido flow.
The pace and intensity are higher than in basic classes. We prepare students for kyu and dan examinations and encourage participation in seminars with respected teachers both in Estonia and abroad.
Advanced trainings take place twice a week in the evenings. If you already practice Aikido at another club and would like to train with us, you are very welcome - contact us and come try a session.
At Taikikai, advanced practice is not only about technique. Following the tradition of Hikitsuchi Michio Sensei and Anno Norihiko Sensei, keiko is also a study of budo spirit: respect, awareness and continuous self-development.
